‘Kanthaswamy’ doesn’t seem like just one movie anymore. It has become one of Kollywood’s sagas, with its release date still remaining unclear.

The movie stars Vikram and Shriya in the lead, and is being made at an extravagant budget of over Rs 35 crores. Being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, it is being directed by Susi Ganesan.

Said to be a fantasy, Kanthaswamy’s crew has simply been splurging, from the word go. In fact, the film’s launch had such an expensive invitation that it took many people in the industry by surprise, owing to its extravagance. And recently, its audio launch, which was held on such a massive scale, has only made the audience more eager than ever to see the film.

Its release, sadly, still eludes our knowledge. Simply because shooting is still to be thoroughly done with. Reports have it that the film will finally hit screens late next month, when it, perhaps, will have to take on yet another highly anticipated film, ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’.
